About the position

  • Comply with instructions given by supervisors
  • Carry out duties in a competent, capable, safe and efficient manner
  • Operate and maintain assigned truck and or plant, in a responsible, safe, efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Actively prevent breakdowns by reporting defects, submitting maintenance reports and completing routine servicing and basic care of designated plant.
  • Complete labouring tasks when plant operation is not in demand, as directed
  • Work cooperatively and support team mates to achieve the Work Group’s goals
  • Follow reasonable directives to maintain critical business activities in the event of an unplanned disruption, including but not limited to a disaster.
  • Other responsibilities as reasonably expected

Who we are looking for

  1. Strong work ethic and an ability to contribute and work within a team environment.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with team members and supervisors.
  3. Experience operating and servicing trucks and plant.
  4. Physical ability and experience conducting labouring, road construction and maintenance duties.
  5. Awareness of safe work practices including manual handling techniques and an ability to follow workplace Health and Safety procedures and policies
