About the position
- Consistently apply a high level of trade qualification knowledge and skills to ensure that TRC’s plant and equipment is repaired and/or maintained in accordance with industry best practice, statutory obligations and policy and procedure to meet operational requirements.
- Diagnose and fault find problems with plant and equipment individually or as a team member when required.
- Monitor, perform and report on programmed maintenance of TRC’s plant and equipment to ensure these assets are reliable, safe to operate and provides maximum life cycle and return on investment to TRC.
- Monitor, perform and report on repairs to plant and equipment in an efficient and effective manner ensuring that plant and equipment is reliable, safe to operate and provides maximum life cycle and return on investment to TRC.
- Perform fabrication tasks (non – structural) where required including the use of TIG, MIG and tick welding
- Perform forklift operations and relocate equipment as required
- Workorder creation and daily digital updates to the maintenance management system daily as
required. - Carry out Installations and modifications required as part of the commission and decommission of new plant and fleet as directed as part of the yearly capital replacement program delivery.
- Follow reasonable directives to maintain critical business activities in the event of an unplanned disruption, including but not limited to a disaster.
- Other reasonable duties as directed.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A high level of trade skills and knowledge in the service, maintenance and repair of a broad range of plant and equipment including earthmoving machinery, trucks, light vehicles and small engine equipment
- Strong work ethic and an ability to contribute and work within a workshop team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with team members and supervisors.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of GPS system for the purpose of recalibration post service.
- Awareness of safe work practices including manual handling techniques and an ability to follow Workplace Health and Safety procedures and policies.
- Experience in the service, maintenance and repair of a broad range of plant and equipment including earthmoving machinery, trucks, light vehicles and small engine equipment.
