System Analyst

About the position
- Work collaboratively with business areas and system support staff to identify system improvement opportunities.
- Support the delivery of system implementation, upgrade and improvement projects.
- Define system configuration and security access requirements through consultation and analysis of business requirements ensuring end to end system integration touchpoints are considered.
- Prepare technical documentation and undertake system configuration in quality-controlled environments following best practice system change management principles.
- Assist contractors with understanding business requirements and coordinate the delivery of contractor configuration and associated documentation, ensuring it addresses the business need and achieves the intended benefit.
- Liaise with third party vendors to understand software functionality and configuration requirements.
- Foster communication, transparency, and high levels of customer service by preparing and publishing project related documents such as configuration documents, training material and test plans.
- Plan and manage system testing activities ensuring all business process scenarios are tested and signed off by the test team.
- Analyse software development issues and defects identified during the project testing phases and manage the rectification.
- Undertake data analysis and assist contractors with data migration activities.
- Assist with the delivery of end user training for system implementations and improvements.
- Contribute to staff performance, productivity, and autonomy by transferring system configuration skills and knowledge to key users and system support staff.
- Undertake additional operational tasks as required to ensure successful project implementations.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Ability in configuration design and implementation aligned with business requirements in a quality-controlled environment.
- Proven experience working within project teams in particular with Business and Change Analysts to meet objectives and achieve stated outcomes on time and within scope.
- Proven experience in data analysis and migration and liaising with vendors to ensure solutions meet functional and integration requirements.
- Experience in project lifecycle activities including full system development lifecycle: requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, testing, support and training.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis on stakeholder engagement, , negotiation, solution optioning, decision making and public speaking/presenting to a diverse audience.
- Experience in developing test plans, test cases and facilitating the delivery of end to end User Acceptance Testing.
