We’re proud to share our latest Bi-Annual Service Highlights Report, showcasing the growing impact of higher education across the Tablelands.
In the first six months of 2026, 44 new students joined the TUC, adding to a growing community of local people studying across different courses and education providers while continuing to live, work and build their futures in our region.
Among the stories featured is Tablelands local Karl, whose career began with a civil engineering cadetship at Tablelands Regional Council. Fifteen years later, he is leading Technical Services at TRC while completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) through the University of Southern Queensland at the TUC.
“I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do when I finished school, and that’s okay,” Karl said. “There are lots of different pathways. You don’t have to have everything figured out straight away.”
Karl’s story is one of many shared in the report, alongside highlights of TUC’s students, partnerships and activities from the first half of 2026.
