Kaban Education Scholarship Program 2024

The Tablelands University Centre, championing regional education at VPG Atherton, with support from the Kaban Green Power Hub Community Benefit Fund, is proud to deliver the Kaban Education Scholarship (KES) program, empowering students on their higher education and vocational training journey. 

 

What’s Available? 

  • 2 X $5,000 education scholarships
  • One for a university student and one for a vocational/trade student
  • If successful, you will receive $5,000 upon the confirmation of successful completion of the first semester of study by your educational institution. This amount is intended to assist with study-related expenses such as computers, textbooks, travel, accommodation, and stationery.

 

Who are the scholarships for?

To be eligible for the KES program, you must:

  • Reside in Kaban, Tumoulin, Ravenshoe, Millstream, or surrounding areas with postcode 4888, or have resided in these areas prior to relocating for study.
  • Be studying an undergraduate degree, trade or vocational qualification in 2024.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the KES program, applicants must:

  • Reside in Kaban, Tumoulin, Ravenshoe, Millstream, or surrounding areas with postcode 4888, or have resided in these areas prior to relocating for study.
  • Are undertaking an undergraduate degree, trade or vocational qualification in 2024.
  • For applicants pursuing a trade or vocational qualification, the course must be at an AQF level 3 or higher, with a study period of 12 months or more.

 

How to Apply

Applications for the KES program close at midnight on Sunday 30 June 2024.

1. Download the Application Form here and complete all sections. 

2. Gather supporting documentation: 

  • Proof of Current Residential Address. This could include a school, phone, or bank letter, or any official document confirming your current residential address
    Confirmation of Enrolment from Your Education Provider
  • At least One Written Reference Letter from an educator, trainer, employer, or professional contact providing valuable insights into your character and suitability for the Kaban Educational Scholarship.

3. Submit completed application form and supporting documentation via email to: tuc@vpginc.com.au 

Note: Incomplete applications or those received after the specified deadline will not be considered.
